Finance Systems Specialist

Job Description

The position will handle the master data maintenance, act as middleman between users and technical administrators of Financial systems and be responsible for ensuring that the configuration and functionalities of each system is catered properly to the needs and processes managed by the business users.
 
Resonsibilities:
  • Discuss with users the requests and assesses if it can be resolved within his/her capabilities
  • Escalate requests to responsible party and obtain a resolution timeline
  • Update users on the progress of requests
  • Inform all affected units of system changes resulting from requests
  • Coordinate with IT, vendor or implementor to understand system changes and impact to users
  • Brief users and other affected units on system changes and clearly explain impact
  • Discuss with users the requests and assesses if it can be resolved within his/her capabilities
  • Escalate requests to responsible party and obtain a resolution timeline
  • Update users on the progress of requests
  • Inform all affected units of system changes resulting from issue resolution
  • Discuss with users the requests, as necessary, to ensure common understanding
  • Execute entry or modification of master data based on request, test and inform users once completed
  • Partner with business users and system owner in ensuring that business processes and system functionalities are in-sync
  • Maintain an inventory of all systems covered, including partner users and units, in the course of work
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, IT or any business-/IT-related course
  • 2-4 years experience in system data management, system analyst role and/or system administration
  • 2-4 years experience in using SAP or any Enterprise Resource Planning system
  • Good level of knowledge and understanding of key, general financial processes (accounting, procurement, planning etc)
  • Experience in audit (especially IT-based audits and reviews) are a big plus
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate with strong MS Office skills
